Luigi`s Italian Sandwiches in Coos Bay

After 40 years, they are still there and just as good as we remember. We hope they have another 40 years.

Very friendly staff but let me just say the ONIONS?! Why? I’ve never been served something with such a disproportionate amount of onions. They took quite a while to get the food out but I made a big order so that’s understandable. The only problem is I feel like I primarily paid for an ONION sandwich.

Low key spot with decent food. The folks working there were great and took pride. The sandwiches were okay, nothing special...rather pedestrian. I am from NY and expected a whole other sandwich experience from this Italian sandwich shop. The meatballs were tasteless and the sauce tasted canned. The rolls, you can pick the same ones up at the grocery store so not exceptional either. Service was slooow, but nice kids. Not for nothing, the prices charged would indicate a better sandwich.

The spaghetti & garlic bread was 😋 yummy. The french dip was good but nothing special. The lady at the counter was very nice and friendly, it was a nice place.

Love their sandwiches. The staff there is very kind and always treat me nicely. Much better than Subway and no doubt the best. Try it before passing judgement... make your own opinion. Not based on untruths or from people who just like to hear themselves spill lies. You will not be disappointed. REAL Italian Sandwiches.

If you could ever count on them being open I'd rate them higher. The food is good, but too many times have I travelled across town to find them closed before the time listed on the schedule posted on the locked door.

Meat didn't taste fresh they didn't have lettuce it just wasn't what I was expecting

We love Luigi's scrumptious sandwiches. They are hot and melty, super tasty addictions that we have to have at least 3 or 4 times a week!!

Way over priced for not so good of sandwhich(garbage grinder) my entire family was so dissapointed after leaving . The lady who worked there was so nice though and we really liked her just not the food. Not enough meat and WAY too much onion!!

The sandwiches are basically open-faced sandwiches that are toasted. The regular sized ones are about the size of a hotdog bun split in two. The large are about 12 long but that same thin width. Toppings include the standard fare of lettuce, tomato, and onions (a ton of onions).

Friendly staff and cozy place, but I would not recommend it to another sandwich buff. Claiming to be an Italian sandwich shop I was expecting something quite different than what they serve. Their most popular sandwich is called the "Garbage Grinder", enough said.

The "Garbage Grinder" I had was delicious. The price was a little steep, however. The folks there are very friendly. I'd go back again.

My son and I shared a sandwich which was a mistake bcuz it was so good and no more made me sad. A bit too much onions,but I'm used to picking them off. The girls that served us were super nice and funny. Thanks for the homemade recipes.

I love this place! Big, greasy, messy, Italian subs. Get a garbage grinder or garbage gut. New ownership now, had my same sandwich as always, it was still great! Hope everything stays the same. I've been eating here since I was a kid so about 30 years.

Not pleased at all very disappointed. Very few onions only a slice of bell pepper. The regular sized sandwiches looked just like the kids should of saved our $$$ and gotten all kids sized not going there again.

Great sandwiches!

Eaten there a lot when I was younger food was not bad then. Left there 10 minutes ago after finding mold on my bread and the sandwich. They often make another but I don’t even 3/4 of that one there’s no point at that point.

Was told to try Luigi's and get the garbage grinder and was not impressed at all. I get a shiver when I think about what I ate there. The place seems nice and old school and the staff was friendly but the food had no flavor. Prices seemed a bit high for the quality. I could have eaten a much fresher and more flavorful meal elsewhere. Guess this place was not my taste.

Best sandwiches and pizza bread on the west coast. The garbage grinders are unique and delicious. You will always be craving one after you have been here. Always stop here
